Welcome to the Netherhall Neighbourhood Association, the residents association for Netherhall Gardens, Maresfield Gardens and Nutley Terrace in Hampstead, London, England.

The NNA, founded in 1983, is a voluntary society of residents in Netherhall Gardens, Maresfield Gardens and Nutley Terrace. It seeks to keep our neighbourhood as the pleasant, quiet and leafy environment that we presently enjoy, and does not involve members in any commitment at all. Why not join? For just £5 per person a year, or £8 per household, you receive all these benefits:

• A stronger voice

The NNA receives some 50 planning notices each year that affect people in the area, and we send detailed, expert responses to about 40 of them. More than one ugly, square block of buildings has been avoided in this way. We also help members challenge work to buildings or trees carried out without proper permission.

• Increased security

The NNA maintains good relations with Hampstead police, who pass on news of local incidents and new risks we need to know about. Seen something suspicious? The NNA carries more weight in bringing it to police attention. And did you know you might get a reduction on your premium if you tell your insurers you belong to a neighbourhood watch scheme?

• Good Neighbours scheme

Need someone to keep an eye on your property/plants/pets when you’re away? Unable to do your shopping if you’re ill? The NNA has a Good Neighbours scheme which can help you find someone reliable to lend a hand or assist with emergencies.

• Reliable tradesmen list

The NNA's annual list of recommended trades people is invaluable: listing services such as aerial technicians, plumbers, electricians and window cleaners. They’re only included if at least two members have found them effective, good value and reliable. Exclusive to members – and they don’t get on our list by paying.

• Environmental improvements

The NNA actively campaigns to limit damage from traffic, litter, pollution and licensing to provide a cleaner, quieter and less stressful area. We’ve influenced Camden’s policies to create improvements such as the steps at the end of Netherhall Gardens. We persuaded Camden to reduce the 'rat runs' through our streets, making it safer for residents and school children. And we’re working with Camden to alleviate school traffic and parking problems.

• News of what’s going on

Do you know about the amazing, good value concerts at Netherhall House? Or the Freud Museum, which is free to NNA members? Have you met our local tree expert? Do you know about local clubs and activity groups? There are opportunities to meet many interesting neighbours at our AGM and other events. The NNA provides an informal network that makes living here even more rewarding. And our free newsletter is full of local information.

• It’s so easy

The more members we have, the more we can achieve. Join today by contacting the membership secretary. Using our tradesmen list just once can save you many times the cost of membership. Once you join or renew, we’ll send you the tradesmen list and the latest newsletter.

Feel free to browse our site for an introduction to the area and to the association. For further information, please contact us direct. We look forward to hearing from you!
